Morgann began choreographing at school, winning the Central School of Ballet Choreography Award in 2002 and 2003. Since she has graduated she has created works for The Curve Foundation Dance Company, Ballet Central and several works for Nottingham Youth Dance. She has been, creating work for Ballet of Ireland since 2005, making over eight works for the company.

Her works have been performed at the Tate Modern, Royal Opera House 2, National Concert Hall Dublin and The Royal Academy of Music and The Place Theatre, London, Prejlocaj Theatre, Marseille, and been toured nation wide in UK and Ireland.

The company has recently formed and has begun to develop work which aims to fuse physical theatre techniques with contemporary dance. Our first piece Weave was performed at Resolution 2010 and received very positive reviews, described as 'gutsy, committed and inventive' . Our aim is to make dance theatre which is structurally compelling that has something to say.

The Goddard | Nixon Project was founded in 2009; it is an ongoing choreographic collaboration between Jonathan Goddard and Gemma Nixon.

Jonathan Goddard trained at Rambert School, later working for Scottish Dance Theatre and Richard Alston Dance Company before joining Rambert in 2008.

In 2007 Jonathan was the first contemporary dancer to be nominated in the dance category of the South Bank Show/Times Newspaper Breakthrough Award. In 2008 he was nominated for an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance and went on to become the first contemporary dancer to win the Critics' Circle National Dance Award for Best Male Dancer. Jonathan joined Rambert in summer 2008.

Before joining Rambert in 2006, Gemma Nixon also worked at Scottish Dance Theatre; since then,  she has danced and created several main roles with various choreographers including the Mother in Christopher Bruce's Hush.

Hana Saotome

Hana Saotome trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. As a dancer she has performed and toured extensively throughout the UK with Beyond Repair Dance, recently performing in the semifinals of Sky TV’s ‘Got To Dance’. She has also performed and worked closely with Movement Angol Dance Company under the direction of Francis Angol. As a choreographer she has created several works. Most recently she collaborated with Aya Jane Saotome. The outcome being “April”, a work involving their Anglo-Japanese heritage. Throughout this process she developed a fruitful working relationship with composer A.Lorenzo who created the musical arrangement for “April”. She then went on to work in collaboration A.Lorenzo to create music for “Praying Mantis” for Islington Arts Factory, showcased at the Lilian Baylis Theatre and The Bloomsbury Theatre.

Jessie Brett

Originally from Clyro near Hay on Wye, Jessie trained at London Contemporary Dance School and California Institute of the Arts. Since 2005 she has danced and choreographed at The Place Theatre, London, Chisenhale Dance Space, Laban and at venues across Wales.  She has recently created an original site-specific piece for four dancers and three cellists at the V&A Museum’s new Medieval and Renaissance Rooms. [V&A Lates, 29 January 2010] Theatrical with an emphasis on unique and intricate ways of moving, Jessie’s work concentrates on rhythm and musicality finding ways to extract emotions that give her choreography humanity. She often collaborates with a composer and designer and considers this an important aspect of her work.

Mavin Khoo

Mavin Khoo has collaborated and danced with some of the major choreographers of today including Akram Khan, Wayne McGregor and Christopher Bannerman. He has danced as a guest artist with Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company, Ballet de Zaragoza, Ballet Regensburgh and Sankalapam.

He has been commissioned by the Royal Opera House (ROH2), Akademi, National Youth Dance Company, The Jazz Company, South Bank Centre in the UK to create work. He has also made commissioned work for the Canada Dance Festival.

Mavin Khoo stands today as one of the leading international male solo Bharata Natyam performers dancing in India and throughout the world. He also creates new work that challenges notions of gender and ambiguity. He is one of few leading performers today that has developed academia alongside practice in performance.

Hyanglae Jin

Hyanglae Jin was born in Korea. Focussing on contemporary dance, she received her BA Hons in Korea. After moving to London, she trained at London Contemporary Dance School and gained a postgraduate diploma through working with EDge 08. She is currently working as a freelance performer while continuing her ongoing research as a dance maker. She was part of The Place Prize as a performer and worked with one of Russell Maliphant's dancers.

Jui-Wei Hung was born in Taiwan. She received her Masters degree in contemporary dance in Taiwan. In 2007 she moved to London to study Labanotation and recently gained a Specialist Diploma of Dancing Notation from Laban. Since 2007, she has worked with different artists such as Sonia Romero, Hiromi Ishikawa and Adesola Akinleye to achieve their pieces.

Slanjayvah Danza is a Dance Theatre Company, formed in 2004 producing professional, youth and community dance/mixed art form works, as well as providing educational dance workshops for all age groups and learning abilities. With a growing reputation for closing the gap between performers and the audience. The choreographies of Jenni Wren and Slanjayvah Danza are layered into complex reflections of the human psyche. The work is peppered with diverse alternative artistic practices, complementary to dance, that help to convey narratives that any audience can relate to. WooJung Kim, born in South Korea, completed her studies with BA Hons. Her interest in body expression has shifted her to the dance field. After having learnt several dance styles such as jazz dance, tap, ballet and traditional dance she then decided to move to London to learn theatre and contemporary dance. After taking on drama and various dance training, Kim progressed onto choreography. Her concerns with human life aspects are reflected in her works, mainly using character and movement together. Through the characters, which are usually adopted from fiction, real stories or own experiences, she finds connections between acting and movement. SuperB Dance Theatre is formed by herself to spread her choreographic colour. Her aim of work is interaction with the audience to describe ordinary people and express their emotions through movement. By telling a story and by presenting it with some movement, her piece will touch your mind and make you warm at the end.

Vanessa Abreu

Vanessa Abreu has been creating work since 2007, and under her artistic direction collaborators have included Andrej Gubanov, Matthew Orange, Noura Sanatian, Maral Mohammadi, Jonathan Chadwich, Ejnar Askberger including others. Vanessa is interested in multi-disciplinary collaboration, and has attended Collab 08, Rotterdam - mediated by Nik Haffner, 08 and was in residency at KOLT Bjällansås 2009, Bokenås, Sweden 09. She is currently an Associate Choreographer for Union Dance for whom she has performed and led workshops since 2008. Freedom Flows in collaboration with El Crisis, was commission by Union and performed at the V&A in 2008. Vanessa has also performed with Pair Dance, Gerrard Martin and White Flag.

Taciturn formed in 2006 to enable the dancers to share skills and ideas, as well as to showcase the talents of local artists. Their aim is to create vibrant and diverse works that will have wide appeal and inspire young dancers.   Taciturn have performed at the Leap Festival in Liverpool, The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and as part of the British Dance Edition Fringe event 2008, organised by local artists.   Taciturn has also been working alongside Tom Roden - formerly director of the Air Dance Company, Tom is now the co-director of New Art Club. Their shows have toured extensively in Europe, America and Asia to critical and popular acclaim.

Sillander & Pascual (choreographer and performer Annika Sillander and set-designer and visual artist Rosa Pascual) have collaborated since their college days. Both independently and together they have produced dance theatre and movement installation pieces. Annika has choreographed “Polku”[path] Finland, “May I have the pleasure”, Finland, and together with Rosa “Salidas/Sortides/Exits” Barcelona and “Places Where I am” Resolution! and Finland. Rosa has devised and directed “Lorca’s Dreams” Barcelona and “Your own” London. To name a few. The company is interested in producing dance theatre that engages dance practice and visual performance, utilizing multi-media, text, song, energetic dance and does this with both candor and humour. The company engages performers per production, but always strives to work with performers that are individual, skilled, and varied.

Scarlett Perdereau is a performer and independent choreographer based in London. Originally from Paris, Scarlett has a background in ballet, modern dance and drama. She turned her interests to dance theatre whilst working with Butoh artists in the UK and Europe, and re-trained in contemporary. Since the start of her career in 2002, she has worked in dance, theatre, opera, film, site-specific and multimedia performance. She has been teaching regularly and turning her attention to choreography since 2006, developing her own style of contemporary dance. Her first works have shown at Sadler's Wells Connect festival, the Riverside Studios, The Place, and Barcelona's Teatro Mercat de les Flors.

Yuyu Rau

Yuyu Rau is a professional dancer and dance teacher from Taiwan. She worked at the Cloud Gate Dance School in Taiwan for 3 years before she came to England to further her dance career and training. Her vocational dance training as a performer has developed over the last 14 years. As part of her MA, she was a member of the University of Chichester’s Mapdance Company where she toured and danced the works of a number of highly-regarded British and international contemporary dance choreographers. She joined Sinman Chinese Dance Company in 2008 and was part of Resolution! 2007 and 2009. Then she joined ACE Dance and Music in 2009. Currently, she works as freelance dancer and just finished her own piece for Resolution! on 12th Jan 2010.

Kinisi Dance Company is a brand new jazz contemporary company directed by Canadian choreographer Charlene Dinger. Originally from Toronto, she came over to the UK three years ago to expand her dance training and career. Realising the abundance of opportunities for young, up-and-coming choreographers to showcase their work, she decided to take advantage and form her own company, giving her fellow dancers and peers a platform to create and perform. Coming from a strong classical background, Charlene emphasises solid technique within her choreography, and having also trained in jazz and modern, these influences are prevalent throughout her work. FFIN Dance was founded by Artistic Director Sue Lewis in 2003 as a result of a growing demand for high quality dance in Wales.
