Denise Horsley is a contemporary dancer with classical influences. She enjoys dancing, both for herself and for other choreographers. Since graduating she has performed for several small contemporary companies and projects...

As a freelance dance artist, a significant area of her work is community-based. Aside from these commissions, she creates pieces possibly of an eclectic nature.

She has a specific interest in creating dance for camera, and enjoys collaborating with other artists. She welcomes commissions or invitations to collaborate...

The initial inspiration for the piece came from the poem, ‘For A Child Born Dead’ by Elizabeth Jennings. I have sought to explore emotional intention through movement generated from the words of the poem, the subject matter and my research including testimonials written by parents that have experienced the stillbirth of a child.
